UNIVERSITY OF SOUTH BOHEMIA, CZECH REPUBLIC



The University of South Boemia (Jihočeská univerzita v Českých Budějovicích or JU) is a public research university located in the city of České Budějovice, in the South Bohemian Region of the Czech Republic. It was founded in 1991 and is one of the youngest universities in the country.

Generally, public universities in Czech do not have tuition fees for programs offered in the national language. However, for programs offered in foreign languages like English, the school charges a minimum tuition which could be as low as 21 euros per year. Here is a general breakdown of the tuition fees:



For students studying in Czech:

For Bachelor's and Master's programs, there is no tuition fee for students who complete their program within the standard duration of study (usually three years for Bachelor's and two years for Master's programs).


For students who exceed the standard duration of study, the school applies tuition fee depending on the program.

Step 1: Submit application online

Step 2: Submit a motivation letter which should not be more than 1 A4 page.

Step 3: Pay application fee of 500 CZK (approx. 21 EUR or USD).

New students are usually admitted twice a year and the application phases are open around February and July every year. The application calendar for next academic year are usually announced in January. Before the update is done, you can expect similar dates as in the previous year.
