To apply for any program at AUM, the process is quite simple:

1. Fill Out The Online Application: It’s easy and it’s free. You will need to create an account as a first time visitor.

2. Submit Your Test Scores: You can have the testing agency submit your test scores directly to AUM, or you can submit copies of the test results yourself.

It is important that you use AUM’s College Board (CEEB) codes:

SAT — 1036

ACT — 0057

For graduate programs, ensure the official GRE, MAT, or GMAT scores are sent directly to AUM if required. Scores must not be older that 5 years. You may also contact the Graduate Admissions Coordinator at (334) 244-3623 or [email protected].

3. Have Your High School Send Your Official Transcript: Request your high school guidance counselor to send your official transcript to AUM. It’s acceptable if an applicant haven’t graduated yet, though they will need to submit your official four-year transcript once you graduate. 

For graduate applications, you will need to request for official transcripts of all completed coursework from your previous college. A bachelor’s degree from any accredited college or university is needed for admission to a master’s programs.

Acceptable English Proficiency Requirement Exemptions

According to the university's website, the following English language proficiency exemptions are given:

International students enrolling in programs that are included in a contract between AUM and a foreign government/institution and/or U.S. military organization.

International students who have satisfactorily completed 24 semester credit hours or the equivalent of AUM English composition requirements at any accredited U.S. college or university.

International students who have previously completed a United States secondary diploma, a bachelor’s or master’s degree at any accredited U.S. college or university, or who are citizens of countries where English is the predominantly native language. The countries included in this exception list are Anguilla, Antigua, Australia, Bahamas, Barbados, Belize, Bermuda, British Solomon Island, British Virgin Islands, Canada (except Quebec), Cayman Islands, Channel Islands, Dominica, Ghana, Grenada, Guyana, Jamaica, Liberia, Montserrat, New Zealand, Republic of Ireland, St. Kitts and Nevis, St. Lucia, St. Vincent and the Grenadines, Trinidad and Tobago, Turks and Caicos Islands, and United Kingdom.

International students who have not scored at least 488 on paper-based TOEFL, 57 on internet-based TOEFL, 75-89 on Duolingo, or 5.0 on IELTS will take a combined load of undergraduate courses including appropriate English as a Second Language (ESL) courses. Students continue with ESL courses until they have passed TOEFL or IELTS according to the AUM minimum acceptable score requirements.
